How your business can utilise Splash Card...

Frankston City CouncilSplash Card is an annual campaign run by Frankston City Council which builds student engagement, particularly in Frankston's City Centre. 15,000 Splash Cards are distributed annually to tertiary and secondary students. Any student can register online to receive a Splash Card.


Student Discounts

The program encourages students to shop at street-side businesses in the Frankston City Centre by providing discounts and special offers upon presentation of the Splash Card. Over 75 businesses have participating in this component of the program in two years of operation.  Only street businesses in the Frankston City Centre are eligible to provide student incentives as part of Splash Card.


Frankston City Council reserves judgement on accepting businesses into the program based on relevance to the student demographic and appropriateness for the program in general.

To protect the integrity of the program, Frankston City Council reserves the right to request additional information or documentation as a condition to participation.

The following businesses are ineligible for the program:

  • Businesses not operating in the Frankston city centre
  • Businesses operating from home

FREE Business Promotion

Students are required to register their card online at www.splashcard.com.au

This process has built a database of over 3000 students over the two years that the campaign has operated. This marketing momentum is at the disposal of participating businesses.

Frankston City Council will promote the following on behalf of participating businesses at their request

  • events
  • new participating business
  • competitions
  • campaigns
  • additional special offers (e.g. Christmas, mothers day, Easter etc.)

Any business in the Frankston City municipality can promote jobs to students through the Splash Card database at no cost (via email, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn). Job adverts can be targeted to students in particular fields and levels of study at the request of the business. To date, over 40 students have been employed as a direct result of Splash Card adverts.
